Easter

I know it's a week late, but I wanted to share the fun that we had with Ellen. She loved "making eggs" and putting stickers on them.

How many people get to find Easter eggs hidden in a pineapple plant?

Her Easter basket was in her swing.

So Busy!

I know it has been a very long time since I have updated my blog. We have been VERY busy! While Grandpa Dave and Grandma Linda were here, we went to Miami Seaquarium (above). Ellen loved feeding fish to the sea lions.
On March 7th Grandpa Dave and Grandma Linda went home and Grandma Debbie and my niece Shelby came to visit until March 18th. While they were here, we went to the beach a couple of times, to Billie Swamp Safari, and to an amusement park near our house where Ellen got to ride a carousel horse for the first time.
March 26th to 29th, Ellen and I went up to Tampa to see my brother, sister-in-law Riana, and their boys Austin and Carson. We went to Busch Gardens while we were there. Ellen had so much fun riding all of the rides and continues to talk about them constantly. (I don't have any pictures because Riana hasn't sent them to me yet--when she does, I'll post some).
While all of this fun family visiting was going on, I was also coaching track. That ended March 31st. Our girls' team won first place in the county (and this is a BIG county!)
This past week has been my Spring Break and I've just been trying to catch up on everything and get my life organized. We are looking forward to Ellen's first real Easter tomorrow (she was too little last year to participate in anything.) I'm sure I will have pictures to post.

While Grandma Debbie and Shelby were visiting, we went to Billie Swamp Safari. Ellen thought the alligator head was pretty fun to play with.

Grandma and Shelby went on the airboat ride at Billie Swamp Safari. (They are in the middle row, closest to this side of the boat)

Ellen has decided she loves going to the beach so we've been going as often as possible. We went today but I haven't uploaded those pictures yet. This picture is from last Sunday. Up until last Sunday, Ellen did not want to go in the water at all. We finally got her in and she decided it was okay. She talked about it all week. Today she wanted to keep going in the water instead of playing in the sand. She didn't even mind the big waves today too much. She says, "Water splash you like dolphins." She remembers that the dolphins splashed her at Miami Seaquarium.

Ellen made cupcakes for her Easter party at daycare. She was very proud of them!

She was so excited about everything she found in her eggs. After all of the kids opened their eggs, Ellen went around and collected everyone's chocolate for herself.
